How much do you think you are actually learning compared to the counterfactual of going to a traditional college? Does everyone benefit from the HCs, or do some people already know about them?

I enjoyed reading your review! Funny and insightful. Another Minerva student here. This comment is my personal opinion. I agree with the claims Yoyo makes mostly, that it’s eventually up to students what they do. I understand some arguments such as complaints about quiet time and organization, but it’s like “dorm” vibe that sparks joyful small talks for me (sometimes it irritates me ngl tho). Basically you signed up for having uncomfortable environment not like home instead of always having people around you: you gain some, you lose some. Academically, it’s rigorous but there are helps if you seek for it: tons of office hours and structured study sessions. Still, considering different backgrounds in academics, I wish there is a hub to share student’s knowledge. There is one student initiative, but it can be more collaborative with Minerva body. In terms of entrepreneurship, I have not felt collaboration as much as I expected. However, there are meaningful sharing of information if you seek for it, and most people are pretty open to conversation. Considering that this first month is my adaptation period, visible outcome might come soon. Culture is exciting and open-to-change, which inspires me as well. Thank you for your post, Yoyo:)
